A series of Public Informational meetings are held at varied times for residents to attend and be updated on the boards decisions. Anyone may speak at these meetings.
Description of our HOA Government:
Birchwood at Spring Lake is a Homeowner Association (HOA). Like most HOA's there is a Board of Directors and various committee's that assist the Board on an advisory basis.
The Board members of Birchwood at Spring Lake HOA are elected to 3 Year terms every May on a rotating basis. There are 7 Members elected by the community. The board members elect a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Directors devote countless hours to governing the HOA and set policy for the community. The board members meet on a regular basis to formulate and discuss all matters relating to the operation of the community.
At Birchwood, the HOA has a Financial Advisory Committee made up 7 members from the community who also volunteer their time and expertise.This advisory committee assists with budgeting and other financial and business matters. This is a non-voting committee.
An onsite management office staffed by Birchwood employees and a property manager provided by a management company contract implement the decisions made by the HOA Board.
